Aqualilies 3D Syncronized swiming!
Recently received some stills from a shoot that I did back in Dec. of 2011.
World World 7 productions had a project where they need some underwater 3D footage of synchronized swimmers for a special project they were working on.
A while back I made a housing to fit a “Dark Country” 3ality Technica mini-beamsplitter rig as well as the accompanying Cinedeck recorder. Luckily because of the resulting size it also fit a RED One, ARRI Alexa and luckily for us, it also fit Panasonic 3DA1 3D camera!
The swimmers/dancers were amazing to work with and the guys at WW7 were really happy with the results. We suspended silk fabric in the for the dancers to interact with.
The housing worked great and is available for rental.
